Reaching Karpathos is easy, by both plane and boat. There are local flights from Athens, Rhodes and Kasos Island, as well as international flights from most major European cities and more, whereas especially during the summer, additional charter flights are available from most European capitals. Boats from Piraeus port of Athens, Rhodes, Crete and some of the Dodecanese islands dock at Karpathos at least twice a week. It is highly advisable for travellers wishing to spend their holidays in Karpathos to check the available schedules and to purchase their tickets in advance before booking their stay, to avoid any inconvenience.
