AMOOPI

The bay of Amoopi is divided into smaller sections, each more picturesque than the other and all certain to please all types of beach-goers. Althea Boutique Hotel is located just above Mikri Amoopi, with gorgeous views overlooking both the Mikri and the Megali Amoopi bays, two of the prettiest and most popular beaches on the entire island. Further down the shore, Votsalakia, Kastelia and Fokia beaches offer a selection of gorgeous bays, all within a short walk – or swim – from each other and each with its distinct natural charm. Their shallow, crystalline waters are always sheltered from the wind, making them ideal for a family beach day!

ACHATA

Tropical and deep waters with a rich seabed and a welcoming pebbled beach are the highlights of Achata, a serene haven hidden amidst rocky cliffs ideal for calm moments under the bright sun. The beach is located near the village of Aperi, on the eastern side of the island.

APELLA

Year after year, Apella beach claims its position in the top-10 beaches of Greece, and it’s easy to see why! Nestled under a fascinating rocky landscape immersed in verdant pine-trees, this thin strip of white sand and pebbles is a perfect spot for sunbathing. Its shallow emerald waters are always calm, ideal for swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving.

KYRA PANAGIA

A well-organised beach, and perhaps the most photographed beach on the island of Karpathos, Kyra Panagia owes its name to the charming chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary built at the edge of the cliffs. A beautiful spot of turquoise waters, golden sand and verdant vegetation, this beach offers a stunning scenery for a day at the beach!

AGIOS NIKOLAOS – SPOA

A quaint, unspoilt beach with crystal-clear waters brimming with marine life awaits on the shore of the quaint fishing settlement of Agios Nikolaos, at Spoa village. The beach is well organised and the neighbouring tavernas and cafes can cater to your needs while swimming or sunbathing throughout the day.

LEFKOS

The fishing village of Lefkos hosts not one but three enchanting beaches. Gialou Horafi, the main beach is fully organised and boasts velvety sand and shimmering turquoise waters that make it perfect for families with young children, whereas its extension Panagias Limani is a bit more secluded. A few steps further, Fragolimnionas offers splendid views to the islet of Sokastro, especially at sunset-time.

AGIOS NIKOLAOS – ARKASSA

A well-organised beach, adored by surfers from around the world for its impressive waves, with views to the neighbouring Kasos Island. Close by, the ruins of the ancient city of Arkesia combine your beach-going with intriguing sightseeing opportunities!

CHRISTOU PIGADI

A freshwater spring flowing into the waters of the Christou Pigadi beach makes the waters surprisingly cool, making this spot an ideal swimming destination for the warmest summer days. On the fine- pebbled shore, tamarisk trees provide ample natural shade and you’ll also find some beachfront tavernas.

DIAKOFTIS

Perhaps the most exotic of all Karpathos beaches, Diakoftis boasts powdery golden sands and sparkling waters with gorgeous views to the southern end of Karpathos. The beach is on a cape, so you’ll find not just one, but two amazing beaches for swimming and sunbathing!

POSEIDON – DAMATRIA

In the area of Afiartis, the beach of Damatria, or as it is most commonly known Poseidon, is a scenic coastline riddled with enchanting small beaches, ideal for those seeking secluded spots where they can feel all to themselves, immersed in the turquoise beauty of the Aegean.

AGIOS MINAS – OLYMPOS

A dreamy cove that encapsulates all of Karpathos’ authentic charm, home to a small traditional chapel and endless sea views. One of the beaches you can’t miss when visiting Karpathos, Agios Minas is a perfect spot for those looking for privacy and natural beauty. The closest beaches are Nati and Forokli.
